Electric mobility is a ‘hot topic’. Worldwide, governments and industry have high expectations on the economic, ecologic and societal benefits that electric mobility can offer. From an energy point of view, electric vehicles show a much better energy efficiency that combustion driven vehicles. But electric vehicles can also be a major player in the intelligent electricity networks. More and more renewable energy is integrated in the grid and there is a big need of flexible loads to absorb this renewable energy when it is available. Electric vehicles driven on renewable energy will lead to economic and ecologic benefits. And best of all, they are fun to drive !
