Purpose
European heat maps clearly illustrate the potential impact of district heating. However to fully exploit these opportunities in a commercial context additional innovations are required. Low temperature solutions, higher efficiency of energy conversion, substations with enhanced functionalities, optimal integration of different heat sources and renewables, short and long term storage…
Can these innovations lead to the commercial breakthrough of the next generation heating systems and how can these concepts be brought to the market? These are the main questions of this half day event.
As a research centre, EnergyVille is exploring several of these innovations. As key European initiative, KIC InnoEnergy is promoting and supporting relevant business ideas on their way to the market, also in this field of urban energy networks. FinallyDHC+ is a key organisation for district heating and cooling on EU level.
